NEONA & RW

I'm going to be up front (always), I don’t have it all figured out. I have so-so days, crud days, and dope days. I’m not a practicing Therapist, Doctor, or Psychologist. I'm not a Magician or a miracle maker. What I am, is someone with a lot of experience on the process of healing, backed up with an education on how to feel better using holistic modalities.  I'm a Trauma Survivor and a stubborn ass that refused to give up.  I spent many years studying and working on healing myself, and then decided that I wanted to also help others. I had to find ways to be happy in a body that I was at serious battle with for most of my life. Rituals became my way out. They created fresh and vibrant energy within me. The art of drinking tea, or taking a bath by candle light with good tunes playing, that’s not just relaxing, that’s taking space for yourself, it’s mending and being present in the same moment. It's the art of Ritual.

I used to not be a fan of structure, I’ve also never liked being told what to do. But when I received news that I was sick, I allowed myself to become open to structure. Maybe it was the word for me, it just sounds and feels harsh (rigid even), so I thought of other words that meant the same thing. I found routine, but that felt boring and not like something I could attach myself to, at least not in the ways needed to inspire me to get up every morning and get into self love and self care, when all I wanted to do was stay in bed. It was when I found the word “Ritual” and the history behind it, that I felt truly connected to the act of repeating good habits on the daily, and slowly, my life and health began to change.

I learned how to train my mind and work with my body and spirit in order to have peace. Rituals have helped me to create a life where I'm more in control of my story. I spent many years feeling like a victim to my thoughts and body. it was so liberating to finally connect the two (three, if we include spirit, which we should). Showing up for yourself, whether it's through exercise or cooking a balanced meal, those habits align you with your best qualities and allow opportunities for growth. We have to believe in who we are and what we are capable of, and that requires not only strength, but self discipline. I have that word tattooed on the inside of my wrist. I put it there to remind me that the pathways to healing and abundance, are through self love and consistent actions with positive intentions. Health doesn't arrive at the doorstep with flowers. You have to apply wellness to your life like it IS your life. At RW, this is exactly what you'll be doing. Learning how to not only be well, but also how to embody it. Moving energy is a gateway to the life you've imagined.

Healing is a process and it takes guts, but man is it worth it. I'm also going to be raw  about my past, not something that many practitioners do. I've chosen to do so, because I had practitioners open up with me about their trauma during my healing journey, and it helped me so much, still to this day I credit them. It gave me the strength to see a different future for myself, and not just see it, but also to have the hope to believe in it. The power of words, community and the body's ability to heal itself are real. I use rituals and energy medicine to help ground me everyday, these things that I am about to teach you, I use them too, all of them actually and you will grow to love them.
