YOUR PERIOD & THE MOON

“For the modern woman navigating life with more awareness and care.”

Ritual Women is a holistic coaching practice for women who feel disconnected from their bodies. I help women regulate their nervous systems, reconnect with their cycles, and create rituals that restore safety, softness, and power. Some days your ritual is lighting a candle. Some days it’s just lying down. Both count.

For most of human history, women understood their cycles not as problems to manage but as natural rhythms to move with. Long before modern medicine, many cultures noticed a connection between the moon: menstruation was often called “moontime,” seen as predictable rather than disruptive.

Across cultures:

  • New moon: menstruation, rest, inward focus

  • Full moon: ovulation, energy, creativity, outward expression

These weren’t rules — they were reference points to help women understand shifts in energy, mood, and capacity.

Historically, some cultures encouraged women to slow down during bleeding, gather with other women, and honor their intuition. Menstrual blood was sacred, a source of power — not something to push through.

Modern life changed all that

Industrialization and productivity culture turned cyclical bodies into linear machines. Periods became:

  • Medicalized

  • Pathologized

  • Hidden

Pain, fatigue, and emotional shifts were treated as inconveniences, not signals. Expectations increased while support disappeared. For women with painful periods, endometriosis, or trauma histories, this disconnect created shame and isolation.

At Ritual Women, we don’t claim your cycle has to match the moon — or anyone else’s. The moon cycle is a gentle framework, not a rule. It’s a reminder that variation is natural, and that it’s okay to honor your changing needs.

Moon-cycle awareness today

  • Some cycles are irregular.

  • Some bodies experience pain.

  • Some women don’t bleed at all.

All of that belongs here. Period support isn’t about “fixing” your body — it’s about listening to it.

At Ritual Women, we offer:

  • Flexible rituals for different energy levels

  • Practices emphasizing choice and consent

  • Support adapted to chronic pain, trauma sensitivity, and daily life

Your cycle isn’t a problem to solve. It’s a conversation your body is having with you. Lunar awareness isn’t prescriptive — it’s a language for listening. Endometriosis is complex — not a mindset issue, not a failure of the body, and rituals aren’t a cure. But noticing how symptoms move in cycles can be supportive, empowering, and grounding.

RITUALS FOR YOUR CYCLE

Rituals aren’t about fixing your body. They’re about remembering how to live inside it. Menstrual cycles are rhythmic, powerful, and changeable — yet modern life asks women to be the same every day. Rituals interrupt that demand, creating deliberate pauses where the body can be listened to, not overridden.

Simple acts — warmth, rest, breath, stillness — signal to the nervous system: you are safe enough to soften. Over time, this safety can transform how pain, stress, and fatigue are experienced.

Rituals also reclaim what was lost. Before periods were hidden or medicalized, women marked them — not to control the body, but to honor its power, sensitivity, and need for withdrawal. These practices don’t cure. They hold space for fluctuation, discomfort, intuition, and choice.

At Ritual Women, ritual is quiet resistance. It’s a way to move with your cycle instead of against it. A way to tend your body — without apology.
